1ère Poeme

Broken heart, you
timeless wonder.

(Robert Creeley)

These final words, love
pronounced in the burning distance,
as if
eager to devour our strength,

and all that is now past
reaching-
as if
our time had been rounded.

These days
and us surrendering them
fragile, conscious-

Each memory - gone -
the sound of that one hour
in which our bodies
never held a second,
fading-

And you, and that-
images and blanks unfilled,

and the picture holding tight
as if
we counted our blessings
a little too soon.

  1. I just loved that

    "and the picture holding tight
    as if
    we counted our blessings
    a little too soon."
